A custom Lead Qualification task allows you to create your own AI-powered research column inside a campaign.
Each task:
Becomes a column in the Lead qualification tab
Runs AI research for each lead
Uses selected information sources
Consumes credits per lead
Produces structured results based on your selected format
Custom tasks give you full control over how leads are evaluated before outreach.
Open a campaign.
Go to the Lead qualification tab.
Click + Add column.
Under Your research tasks, click Create a lead qualification task.
Qualification tasks can only be created and run from the Lead qualification tab.
When creating a custom task, you must configure four sections.
The Name:
Becomes the column name in your campaign table.
Should clearly describe the purpose of the task.
Example:
ICP Fit Score
B2B Company?
Estimated Company Size
Primary Business Model
Clear naming improves readability and filtering later.
This field defines what the AI should research and how it should respond.
Best practices:
Be specific.
Define expected behavior clearly.
Mention how the AI should format its response if needed.
Example:
“Determine whether this company primarily operates as a B2B business. Answer Yes if it mainly sells to other businesses. Answer No if it primarily sells to consumers.”
You can click Polish with AI to refine your instruction before running it.
The Result Format determines how results appear and behave in the table.
Available options:
Short text
Long text
Number
Yes or No
Score (1 to 5)
Yes or No
For binary decisions.
Ideal for filtering (e.g., “Is B2B?”).
Score (1 to 5)
For prioritization.
Ideal for ranking leads (e.g., ICP fit score).
Number
For measurable values.
Ideal for numeric filtering (e.g., employee count).
Short text
For concise insights.
Easy to scan in the table.
Long text
For deeper research.
Useful for personalization context.
Choosing the correct format improves sorting, filtering, and campaign decision-making.
You must select one or more research sources. Each source has a credit cost per lead.
Available sources and costs:
Source
Credit Cost per Lead
Google Search | 1 credit |
Company website | 1 credit |
LinkedIn profile | 1 credit |
LinkedIn jobs | 1 credit |
Google News | 1 credit |
Technology stack | 2 credits |
You can select multiple sources.
The total cost per lead equals the sum of selected sources.
Example:
Google Search (1) + Company website (1) = 2 credits per lead.
Adding Technology stack (+2) = 4 credits per lead.
Once all required fields are completed, the Start research button becomes available.
Clicking it opens several options:
Save and don’t run
Run for 10 leads
Run for 25 leads
Run for full campaign
Seleqt shows:
Credit cost per lead
Total credit cost
Number of leads selected
Credits are only consumed when you choose a run option.
When a task runs:
Each lead is researched individually.
Results appear progressively.
Some rows may show:
A completed result
“Loading…”
“Data not found”
If no reliable data can be found, Seleqt clearly states that instead of generating uncertain results.
Custom tasks:
Can be opened and edited.
Can be saved without running.
Can be rerun on selected leads.
Seleqt template tasks:
Can be opened and viewed.
Cannot be edited.
Can be run as-is.
Each custom task creates a new column in the Lead qualification tab.
Columns:
Can be resized.
Can be sorted.
Can be filtered (depending on result type).
Different result formats behave differently:
Score and Number columns are ideal for ranking.
Yes/No is ideal for filtering.
Text columns provide contextual insight.
Start with small batches (10 leads) to validate output.
Use Score or Yes/No for decision logic.
Use Short text for fast scanning.
Use Long text for personalization research.
Select sources carefully to manage credit usage.
Can I run a task from the Leads tab?
No. Tasks must be created and run from the Lead qualification tab.
Do I lose credits if no data is found?
Yes. Credits are consumed because research was performed.
Can I change the result format after running a task?
You can edit the task configuration, but rerunning it will consume additional credits.
Can I combine multiple sources?
Yes. Credit cost increases based on the number of selected sources.
